The Cabbage Rose is a beautiful although short-lived rose. Synonymous with wild and desolate places here in Ireland usually the only visible sign now of a past life where once a dwelling stood.

‘Pink Poppy’
In the summertime this ‘pink poppy’ turned up at my back door where the seed had blown in the wind. Although the bloom is very “short lived”
this very fragile and beautiful flower just lasted long enough to captured it through the medium of acrylic paint.
